How to Create Winning Social Media Posts for Your Business

By the end of this post you'll know exactly what to post this week, which hooks get clicks, and how to get Art Hub's audience promoting your business for free.

Why listen to us?

  • 7,000+ followers on Instagram

  • 100,000+ views in the last 30 days — and accelerating

  • 10+ videos gone viral in the past 3 months

  • Most of our business runs on our social media marketing

We're not selling a course. You're our tenant — when your business wins, ours does. This is the first post in an ongoing series where we document exactly how we run this place: marketing, operations, the works.

Most posts flop. Post anyway

Only about 5% of posts become true winners — that's from 550,000+ real ads and $1.3B in spend (Motion Creative, 2025–2026), and it matches our own numbers. The accounts that grow aren't the ones that post one "perfect" thing a week. They post 5 things, one connects, and they make more like it. Volume finds winners. Perfection waits.

The formats that win

  • Simple text posts (10.83% win rate) — "We're opening tomorrow" beats an expensive graphic

  • Your face, your story (8.57%) — people follow people, not logos

  • Unconventional text placement (9.63%) — make thumbs stop

  • Real customer photos (6.73%) — repost anyone who tags you

  • "Us vs. them" (6.52%) — "Why we don't use frozen ingredients (unlike most trucks)"

Skip: fancy animations, green screen, over-polished anything (all under 5%). Authenticity and speed beat production value.

The first line decides everything

  • Offer (9.29%) — "Free sample for the first 20 customers Friday"

  • Confessional (8.74%) — "We almost didn't open this concept..."

  • Curiosity (7.77%) — "One ingredient changed how we cook"

  • Bold claim (7.19%) — "Best al pastor in Austin" (only if true)

  • Story (6.23%) — "We started with $500. Here's what happened."

Never lead with "come vibe with us." People give you 3 seconds. Tell them what they get.

Your weekly plan

  • Week 1: post 4–5 times, each with a different hook from the list above

  • Week 2: find the one that hit, make 3 variations of it

  • Week 3+: repeat. Keep mid-performers up — they build your audience in the background

What we do for our tenants

  • Welcome package when you open: email templates, post ideas, guides

  • Announcement to our 1,200+ email list the moment you open — worth thousands in paid ads

  • We amplify: post with us and our audience sees your business

  • Honest feedback: if something isn't working, we'll tell you and help fix it
